Services
Our appointments are tailored to fit your busy schedule,
ensuring that
your pet will receive uninterrupted, individualized attention every
time. We are able to provide quality of care and services in our
more spacious clinic. The following is an extensive list of the
services we provide:
Wellness Exams
Bringing your pet in for an annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can
help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy or help us detect
hidden diseases or conditions early. Early detection can improve the
prognosis of many diseases, keep medical costs down, and help your pet
live longer. Many dogs and cats are good at hiding signs that something
is wrong, so subtle changes in their health or behaviour might be easy
to overlook. Dogs, and cats age quicker than humans, so it is even more
crucial for our companion animals to receive regular exams.
Vaccination Programs
We offer a triennial vaccination protocol, and vaccinate based on your pet's lifestyle. This means that your pet doesn't necessarily need every single vaccine every single year.
Preventative Medicine
A simple way you can help keep your pet healthy is by protecting him or
her against parasites. Heartworms, fleas, ticks, and other internal and
external parasites are much more than just pests; they can cause
life-threatening conditions in your pet—and can cause severe, potentially
fatal, health problems for you and your family.
Nutrition
Proper care and feeding of your pets is an important part of your pet's
health program. Nutrition needs vary considerably -- whether your pet
is a growing and active kitten, or a sedate, geriatric dog. We can
assist you with dietary & nutritional counseling for proper diet
and foods for each stage of your pet's life. We carry a full product
line of prescription diets for different conditions.
Pharmacy
We have an extensive inventory of common medications that pets require.
When more specialized medications are needed, we will order them
through different suppliers or we may write a prescription that can be
filled at a local pharmacy.
Radiology
It enables our Veterinarian to obtain diagnostic information from the
chest, abdomen, and skeletal structures. We can also do X-rays for hips
or elbows for rating. We have the ablitiy to send all radiographs to a certified radiologist to report key information on changes within your pet.
Ophthalmology
Our veterinarian can provide eye care to assist you with the treatment of your pet's eyes.
Surgery
Our veterinarian can provide many surgical services at our clinic,
ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Because we want to ensure
that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally
refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to
perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be
beneficial. Our veterinary team will take every precaution to provide the safest anesthetic we can for your pet. We perform a physical exam and
offer pre-anesthetic blood work before elective surgeries, monitor your pet during
surgery, and provide pain medication during recovery. For our patients safety we include IV fluids for surgical procedures.
Dentistry
Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth
or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, this is a painful
reality. We have a full-service dentistry suite which includes a modern dental x-ray machine, high speed drill, ultrasonic scaler and polisher. Included in our dental services are routine dental cleanings also if required we perform surgical extractions of all types of teeth. We understand that disease in your pet’s mouth causes pain and can lead
to serious health problems such as kidney disease, liver disease or heart disease, even arthritis. Ask
us about an oral health program for your pet.
Laboratory
Our veterinary technologist team can have certain results in a short amount of
time using our in-house laboratory. We do however send out all blood and urine samples to well-recognized laboratories, so as to have a credited Veterinary Pathologist analyse your pets blood work and send results back in a timely manner.
Senior Care
Diagnosing diseases and certain conditions early is important
throughout a pet’s life, but it becomes even more critical when your
dog or cat enters his or her senior years. The risks of arthritis,
cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hormone disorders, and kidney and
liver problems all increase with age. In addition, dogs and cats may
not show any signs of even serious diseases until they are advanced.
Pediatric Care
Our pediatric care is designed to help get your new addition to your
family started on the right path to a long and healthy life. The first
few months are a critical period in your pet’s development, and we can
give you the support and tools necessary to help him or her grow into a
well-mannered, healthy animal, including information and advice on
nutrition, training, and behaviour.
